We have 2 wonderful apartments in a renovated Vosgien farmhouse with views of mountains and countryside. There are completely fenced grounds for your peace of mind and we live on site and have an autistic child ourselves.
The Vosges is a region of France which is relatively unknown to British visitors. Only a 6 hour drive from Calais, the Vosges offers both winter sports and summer holidays. Beautiful, unspoilt mountain scenery, lakes for swimming and water sports, walking in the forests, climbing, mountain biking – the possibilities are endless.
Gerbepal is a small village with a baker and epicerie. On the doorstep are marked walking routes, mountain bike tracks, karting, paint balling or simply lazing and admiring the view. Around 8km away is Gerardmer, “La Perle des Vosges”, with its lake, skiing area (in season) and plenty of shops, restaurants and cafes.
Take a boat trip round the lake, go to the “beach” with water slides, or the swimming pool for the less hardy, or simply walk in the forest and see streams and waterfalls.

The Accommodation
Two apartments within a typical Vosgienne farmhouse. Both apartments are newly furnished and fully equipped. Both have TV, dvd, French satellite TV. Electric heating. Vacuum cleaner, iron and cleaning materials are provided. Travel cot and high chair available on request.
Duplex apartment – kitchen/diner, sitting room with sofa bed and open fire, newly fitted bathroom with small bath and shower, basin, WC and washing machine. Upstairs are three bedrooms, 1 double with a bunk room opening off it, and dual aspect twin room .
Ground floor apartment -kitchen with breakfast bar, living room with open fire, sofa bed, dining table. Double bedroom, twin bedroom, large bathroom with shower cubicle, basin and washing machine. Separate WC
Accessibility – the ground floor apartment is not officially wheelchair friendly, but completely flat with wide doorways and plenty of space. The bathroom and loo are spacious, but there is not enough room for a wheelchair next to the loo, and the shower is a large cubicle and not specially adapted.
Outside are grounds of approx 3000 sq m, fenced and secured. (NB: the duplex apartment opens directly into the fenced grounds, the ground floor apartment accesses the grounds through a gate approx 10 m away). Garden furniture and BBQ provided for both apartments Sand pit, trampoline and other outdoor toys. Paddling pool available on request. Off street parking and garage available.
